Frisco Chamber of Commerce 33rd Annual Frisco Number Ones Gala, “The Sky’s the Limit”
The Frisco Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce a new name for the event formerly known as the Annual Awards Celebration. The annual gala will now be called the Frisco Number Ones Gala, with the theme this year being “The Sky’s the Limit”. The Frisco Number Ones Gala will be at the Embassy Suites, Dallas-Frisco Hotel, Conference Center & Spa, on Friday, February 3, 2017. Embassy Suites is located at 7600 John Q. Hammons Drive in Frisco, Texas.
The fun-filled evening will begin at 6:00 PM and will include a silent auction and raffles, an elegant multi-course dinner, an awards ceremony and a celebratory after-party with over 700 of Frisco’s most influential business and community leaders!
“Through the many sponsorship opportunities, businesses have the chance to partner with the Frisco Chamber of Commerce, providing business owners and leaders the opportunity to showcase their business,” said Tony Felker, President and CEO of the Frisco Chamber of Commerce. “This event also allows the business community to come together to celebrate each other’s successes.”
Frisco Chamber of Commerce members have until December 6, 2016 to nominate their business or another business that is a Chamber member. Categories this year include: Home-Based Business of the Year, Small Business of the Year, Medium Business of the Year, Large Business of the Year, Developer of the Year, Nonprofit of the Year, and Entrepreneur of the Year. Citizens of the Year are also being nominated in the following categories: Citizen of the Year, Silver Citizen of the Year and Spirit of Frisco award. Nominees for the Citizen category require that the individual be a resident of Frisco and must have increased the enhancement of the community. Other awards being given out are the President’s Award, the Chairman’s Award and a new award, the Frisco Number Ones Award.
The Frisco Number Ones award will be given to the business that has shown the most creativity in marketing their own business using the Frisco Chamber of Commerce foam hand, which was given out at the Business of Sports Luncheon in August. Because Frisco is “Number One” in so many ways, businesses were asked to share their number ones and wins using the hashtag. #FriscoNumberOnes.
Silent auction and raffle items are donated by businesses and often include unique items. Last year’s top silent auction items included a rare, pink Frisco Firefighter’s helmet, a reception for 20 at Capital Grille, a 20-person suite at a Roughriders game, and an embroidered and framed Texas flag, to name a few. Raffle tickets will be sold before and during the event for “Stock the Bar” and the newest raffle, “Stock the Closet”, which will be sponsored by Nordstrom and Stonebriar Centre.
