NBC 5 Political Reporter, Julie Fine, will once again moderate with her insightful, and engaging style. The confirmed panelists include Texas State Representatives, Rep. Justin Holland – District 33; Rep. Matt Shaheen – District 66. The panel will also include Mayor Jeff Cheney, City of Frisco; John Classe, President of Frisco ISD Board of Trustees; and Chris Wallace, President of Texas Association of Business. In June 2017, the Texas Legislature wrapped up its 85th Session after a tense 140 days with many issues left unresolved. Expect the panelists at this Legislative luncheon to be asked questions and probed beyond the typical political soundbites on the issues that matter the most to Frisco and to the business community. “The 85th legislative session showed different perspectives/groups having differing opinions on key legislative issues facing business AND residents – property tax reform, school finance, and local control,” said Tony Felker, President/CEO of the Frisco Chamber of Commerce. “It’s important for our elected officials to hear from our business community and answer the tough questions on how they represent the specific needs and concerns of those who work to keep our economy strong and growing. Softball questions and answers are for campaign meet and greets.
