DOL Overtime Rule Lawsuit
In September 2016, the Frisco Chamber of Commerce joined more than 50 Texas business organizations in filing a lawsuit against the Department of Labor regarding a proposed overtime rule that would negatively impact local small businesses and nonprofits by more than doubling labor costs. In September 2017, a U.S. district judge in Sherman ruled in favor of multiple states and state officials over the U.S. Department of Labor’s controversial overtime rule. Read more
