Ambassadors

Frisco Chamber of Commerce Mission Statement

To Welcome, Unite and Promote Business

Dear Chamber Member:

The Ambassador Council of the Frisco Chamber of Commerce serves as the public relations arm of the Chamber.  Ambassadors make membership goodwill calls, welcome new businesses and new members, recruit new members to the Chamber, and serve as the personal representative of the Chamber throughout the community.

You are invited to serve as an Ambassador to the Frisco Chamber.

As a Frisco Chamber of Commerce Ambassador I willingly accept the responsibilities listed below:

 1. Attend ribbon cuttings, ground breakings, and special ceremonies to represent the Chamber and participate in various activities as stated in the Ambassador Council Goals.  Ambassadors that are assigned to a team are expected to attend a minimal amount of Chamber functions.  Active Ambassadors are expected to earn at least 400 points per quarter.  If any Ambassador is consistently unable to meet this requirement, they will be reclassified as “Inactive.”  They may still attend all Chamber functions; however no points will be accumulated.

2.  Call on and recruit new Chamber members, as well as recruit new Ambassadors. Your “Recruitment Points” will not be credited until the new Ambassador earns 400 points.

3.  Wear your Ambassador badge and dress professionally to openings and functions where Ambassadors are the key participants.

4.  Ribbon Cuttings are meant to introduce the new business to the Chamber and make them feel welcome.  It is the new members’ day to shine and our job to listen and learn about their business.  IT IS NOT A TIME FOR AMBASSADORS TO PROMOTE THEIR OWN BUSINESS.   Follow up contact with new businesses should be made at a later date.

5.  Serve as host at Chamber functions or by request.  Assist with Chamber programs, i.e., special events and membership drive.

6.  It is the Ambassadors responsibility to sign in at all functions, review your points & make any corrections by the 5th of each month. Points will be awarded ONLY for events directly relating to the Frisco Chamber; not for functions of Chamber members.  NO POINTS will be awarded if the ambassador leaves before or arrives after the ribbon cutting photo has been taken.  Point correction will only be accepted up to 30 days after point publication.

7.  Attend scheduled Ambassador Council Luncheon meetings.

8.  Attend Ambassador Orientation.

We are asking you to state your commitment to serve as an Ambassador for one calendar year period by signing the Frisco Ambassador Application.
