LEADERSHIP FRISCO –
“A Leadership Training Program introducing individuals to the community and paving the way for tomorrow’s leaders”.  Leadership Frisco is a community leadership program sponsored by the Frisco Chamber of Commerce dedicated to developing a pool of well-informed, highly motivated individuals qualified to assume leadership roles in the community.  The nine-month program will increase the participant’s knowledge of the city and county and provide an opportunity to explore the inner workings of the government, education system, economic development and private and non-profit organizations of Frisco.

CORPORATE TRAINING

Leadership Frisco provides employers with an opportunity to train identified leaders and enhance employee’s retention within their own work-force.  Companies have the opportunity to benefit by relying on Leadership Frisco to assist, encourage, and motivate their employees to develop leadership skills, and to connect with the community where they work and live.

LEARN ABOUT FRISCO

During the nine-month program you will learn about the history of Frisco and learn how it became one of the fastest growing communities in the Nation.  Meet the current leaders in the city government, the school district, city departments and leading area social service agencies.  Learn about how Frisco connects to neighboring cities and the North Texas region.

LEADERSHIP TRAINING

Your class begins with a Challenge By Choice Ropes Course and a day of class exercises designed to get you thinking about the skills of a great leader.  Class sessions include hands on experience, presentations and site visits with civic leaders and specialist who are experts in their fields.  Hone your leadership skills while working on your class project.

IDENTIFY OPPORTUNITIES

As you progress through the class sessions you will learn about the opportunities available in the community of Frisco.  The purpose of the Leadership Frisco program is to expose you to the many aspects of Frisco and spark your interest in one or more areas where you may become engaged and volunteer your time and energy for many years to come.

Past Leadership Frisco graduates currently serve on or have served on the Frisco City Council, Planning and Zoning Commission, Economic Development, Community Development Corporations, Parks and Recreation Board, Convention and Visitors Bureau, the Housing Trust Fund, The Arts Board and school boards and many other community, non-profit and school organizations.  The class project is your first opportunity to become involved.
