Frisco Leadership Exchange

What Others Have Said About Our Leadership Exchange Trip

“Our Scottsdale experience was a great case study in downtown redevelopment; the integration of art with infrastructure; and the transformation of a drainage system into a recreational amenity, complete with large special events and public art. We learned from our Scottsdale peers who shared in-depth success stories as well as considerations for doing some things differently.  We appreciate the Frisco Chamber of Commerce for its collaboration with city staff and congratulate the Frisco Chamber on an inspiring trip.”

Mayor Jeff Cheney, City of Frisco

“I was honored to represent arts and culture through Frisco Arts at the inaugural Leadership Exchange with the Frisco Chamber. It was three days of Frisco’s top leaders in all sectors learning, discussing, exchanging, breaking barriers, and having a lot of fun as well. A few of us in the #FriscoLEX18 group are now pursuing an idea that was inspired by the Scottsdale art programs; these connections would likely not have occurred without the unique structure of this trip. I came away from our time not only armed with lots of information but with new friends, deeper connections, and fresh ideas for Frisco’s future.”

Tammy Meinershagan, Executive Director, Frisco Association for the Arts

“The inaugural 2018 Smart City Leadership Exchange was a fantastic event. The three-day symposium was a great way to build relationships with Frisco leaders in the public and private sectors. It also allowed for a free exchange of ideas for the future and lessons learned from the past between Frisco and Scottsdale.  As the Land Development Manager at Frisco Station, a 240-acre mixed-use, master planned development, the trip gave me relevant and actionable insights for innovative art programming and technology. Frisco Station Partners is truly proud to be a sponsor of the event. I not only left Scottsdale with knowledge on how to better our community but also made good friends and connections along the way.”

Event Description

Best Marketing and/or Leadership Development Dollars Spent All Year!

If you could spend three days with Frisco city, community, and business leaders, imagine the collaboration and partnerships you could create.

Our Leadership Exchange trip is more than just a visit to another city. It’s an opportunity to build new - and strengthen existing - connections among our own business and community leaders that you otherwise may not have had the opportunity or time to engage with. On this trip, a diverse group of leaders will come together with one focus – to keep Frisco the best place to live and work.

We have a finite number of rooms and flights booked for the 2019 Smart City Leadership Exchange. Will you be on board?

And there is something to be said for being in the "right room," even if you can't attend, sponsorship opportunities are available.

Registration and sponsorship opportunities can be found HERE.

The inaugural Frisco Smart City Leadership Exchange took place in October 2018. A delegation of 50 Frisco leaders traveled to Scottsdale, Arizona and met with their city leaders to exchange ideas and best practices.

Join us this year as we travel to Nashville, TN to discuss transportation, parking, downtown revitalization and walkability, multi-generational workforce (and how to attract them to the area), healthcare, the homeless, the arts, and more.

If you have questions regarding the planning and implementation of any of our events, please email Shelby Fawver, Events Manager. For sponsorship opportunities, please contact Brian Davis, Director of Membership.

Dates: Wednesday, October 16, 2019 - Friday, October 18, 2019
