DNT Begins 3-Year Widening Project

DNT Widening Project

The North Texas Tollway Authority (NTTA) held a public informational session this week for local businesses and public officials to learn about the upcoming work on the Dallas North Tollway (DNT). The DNT Widening Project will add a fourth travel lane in each direction between the Sam Rayburn Tollway and US 380. The NTTA reports that ramp and intersection improvements will also be part of this project.

Set to start this month, the projected completion date is late 2025 (weather permitting). New entrance and exit rams will be included north of Fields Parkway, and a new mainlane bridges/overpass for Fields Parkway.

Crews have already begun setting construction signs throughout the project corridor with temporary barriers placed to create safe work zones.

The NTTA encourages patience throughout the project, as the results will be a tremendous benefit to everyone traveling the DNT through Frisco. To stay up-to-date on this or any other NTTA projects, be sure to sign up for the Corridor Progress Report.
