Frisco Chamber Announces New Database to Connect Business Community with Students

At the Frisco Chamber of Commerce, we know that developing our future workforce through internship programs and mentorships is an innovative solution to help attract and grow top talent. In May, we surveyed our business community and had over 100 respond with the desire to host an intern or serve as a mentor.  Because the response was so positive, we began to look for a more efficient way to connect business leaders with the future workforce. The result? The Frisco Chamber of Commerce has launched a database for area businesses to list internship opportunities, and for connecting mentors with mentees. The first step starts with you! Area businesses wanting to serve as an intern site or individuals wishing to serve as a mentor can fill out the form located at https://www.friscochamber.com/internship-and-mentorship-opportunities/. Students will be able to use this same link to view the database and receive the contact information of businesses and/or mentors. The Frisco Chamber of Commerce will work with school districts within Frisco, as well as colleges, universities to share our database with students. And while all businesses may not be able to serve as an intern site, there are many programs within our schools that need mentors and many individuals willing to serve! Our goal is the be the connector!
