Is It Time to Get Serious About Starting or Growing a Business?

“Next year, I’m going to…” Is that something you’ve said in regard to starting or growing a business? Many don’t know where to start, and many are unaware of the many services offered by SCORE. A SCORE Mentor offers advice and business tips, and it’s all done with confidentiality!

The Frisco Chamber of Commerce is fortunate to have an excellent SCORE Mentor if our office on Wednesdays. You can call Roz Righetti, our Office Manager at 972-335-9522 to make an appointment to meet with SCORE Mentor, Michael Booth. This is a free service!

Who is SCORE?

SCORE, the nation’s largest network of volunteer, expert business mentors, is dedicated to helping small businesses get off the ground, grow and achieve their goals.

SCORE is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and a resource partner of the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA). Because of the support from the SBA and more than 10,000 dedicated volunteers, SCORE can deliver most offerings at no cost.

Our Strategic Plan - Small Business EcoSystem

In late 2021, the Frisco Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors adopted our new strategic plan. Our overarching goal for the future is to remain relevant and essential to our businesses and be a more purposeful and productive resource to the community. Our new strategic plan connects this vision to strategic initiatives, priorities, and goals and focuses on three main areas – Small Business Ecosystem, Community Nonprofit Assistance, Workforce Issues/Workforce Advocacy. A fourth key initiative, Financial Literacy, is woven into each of the other key initiatives.

Each key initiative has a group of individuals, called a “Solutions Group,” identifying the objectives and goals for each initiative. One of the many things the Small Business Ecosystem Solutions Group is working on is to bring small business owners relevant resources to be successful in business.

We hope you find the above resources as valuable as we do!
