Each year, the Frisco Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors conducts a process to appoint new and/or reappoint Board Members. The Frisco Chamber of Commerce announces the appointment of two new members to the Board of Directors that began serving on January 1, 2022. Joining the Board of Directors are John Newkirk, Senior Director at The PGA of America, and Brian Wysong, Co-Owner of Tumbleweed TexStyles.

“Our newest Board members bring an admirable level of expertise to the Board of Directors. Their diverse backgrounds and experience will contribute to advancing the mission of the Frisco Chamber,”  said Tony Felker, President/CEO of the Frisco Chamber of Commerce. “These individuals are already engaged in our community, and both have a willingness to give back to the community.”

What Do Board Members Do?

The primary role as a board member is:

  • To contribute to the defining of the Chamber’s mission and governing the fulfillment of that mission
  • To carry out the functions of the office of Board Member and/or Officer as stated in the bylaws.

Board members focus on the development of broad policies that govern the implementation of institutional plans and purposes. This role is separate and distinct from the role of the President, who determines the means of implementation.

Community Partners

The Frisco Chamber of Commerce also works very closely with our Ex-Officio members. Learn more about them here.
