Recap Of August 12, 2019 Frisco ISD Board of Trustees Meeting

Four Things To Know:
  1. Frisco ISD Board unanimously adopted the FY 19-20 property tax rate. In Frisco ISD, the average taxable value is just over $400,000, the average homeowner will pay $5,413 this year which is $315 less than last year. Click here to see more from FISD.

  3. Pre-K Expansion is set to launch fall 2020. Required by House Bill 3, full day Pre-K will be offered to all eligible 4 year-olds. The district has established a inter-departmental collaborative working group to begin the planning process. Some of the future decisions that will need to be made include identifying campuses and permanent staff. Frisco ISD is working on sending out an interest survey to the community in September.
  4. Frisco ISD Board authorized 7-0 a significant purchase to bring coding concepts to Pre-K through 6th grade for this school year.
