Restaurant Revitalization Fund Applications Open on May 3, 2021.

The Small Business Administration is officially opening its much-anticipated Restaurant Revitalization Fund applications on May 3, 2021. Registration opens Friday, April 30, 2021.

SBA will allow businesses to register ahead of time, beginning April 30, 2021. Once the portal opens, it will remain open until the $28.6 billion in program funds are exhausted.
This program provides restaurants and other eligible businesses with grants of up to $10 million and must be used on eligible expenses by March 11, 2023.

According to a recent quote in a DBJ article, the funding, however, likely will only last “a matter of weeks” according to Sean Kennedy, executive vice president for public affairs at the National Restaurant Association.

Get Prepared

You can apply through SBA-recognized Point of Sale (POS) vendors or directly via SBA in a forthcoming online application portal: Participating POS providers include Square, Toast, Clover, NCR Corporation (Aloha). If you are working with Square or Toast, you do not need to register beforehand on the application portal.
Registration with is not required. DUNS or CAGE identifiers are also not required.
