Karen Kim, IOM
Karen Kim currently serves as the Vice President of Marketing and Communications for the Frisco Chamber of Commerce. She has over 20 years of marketing, management, communication, and graphic design experience in a variety of industries. Karen is an avid reader (ask her what she is currently reading and it will make her day!) and loves to write! Her favorite day of the week? Every day! She is a graduate of Leadership Frisco Class XXII and has recently earned an IOM designation through the US Chamber of Commerce. YEA! Frisco students visit Captured Dimensions to learn about their cool business. Throughout the course and curriculum, students receive weekly instruction on various matters relating to the process of starting and running a business or social movement. Students meet weekly for 3 hours after school for 30 weeks from October to May. Students apply to get into the class. Students also benefit from an array of local entrepreneurs as guest speakers who present on various entrepreneurial related topics linked to specific lessons, and students as a class take field trips to local businesses seeing the “real-world” application of what they’re learning in the classroom.
