We are Blessed!

The new year is just around the corner and I am genuinely excited about the future! In 2020, the Frisco Chamber of Commerce will celebrate our 50-year anniversary. But before we look ahead, it is natural to reflect on the past and in doing so, one word keeps coming to mind …blessed! We are blessed to live in an amazing city and region, one with an incredible economy.  We are blessed by our community and business partners, collectively working hard to keep our business environment thriving! We are blessed to have incredible volunteers, such as Board members and those serving in leadership on one or more of our many committees…all to make Frisco a better place! And it’s not only these volunteers that we are blessed by, it’s also their companies and organizations that allow them to spend time away from their work to serve us. We are blessed to have an incredible team at the Frisco Chamber, all who work so very well together and all who are passionate about our members, our partners, and our community. It is great to have a staff so willing to set high standards and so committed to grow and learn as our community evolves. We are blessed to have received a 5-Star Accreditation in 2019 from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.  The entire Frisco Chamber of Commerce team, board, and members contributed to this accomplishment. Accreditation recognizes a chamber’s work to foster a healthy business climate that enhances the quality of life for its members and its community. We were blessed in 2014 to receive a 4-star Accreditation on our first attempt ever at accreditation. In the five years since, we have strived to excel and improve in several areas. Knowing that being a 5-star accredited chamber puts us in the top two percent of all chambers is a great accomplishment. What we have here is unique and didn’t happen by accident! Our business and community leaders are always moving forward…embracing innovation, thinking outside of the box, and forming new partnerships to enhance our city. So, before we ring in 2020, I hope you will take a moment to reflect on the many blessings you have…from friends to family to living and/or working in a community like no other!
